Friday marks one year since two Miami-Dade police officers were shot and killed on duty and a special ceremony is planned to honor them.

Family, friends and former colleagues will gather at Miami-Dade Police headquarters in Doral at 11 a.m.  That's where a butterfly garden will be unveiled in honor of Roger Castillo and Amanda Haworth.

The two officers paid the ultimate sacrifice on January 20, 2011 when they were shot and killed while serving a search warrant in Liberty City.
